I realized at the end of Book 1 that my poor drawing skills, while (arguably) suitable for telling a story (or at least SUGGESTING that a story is being told), aren't very good at visually conveying much scale or awe.
So when the going gets vague and ominous, the vague and ominous break out the cheap watercolors and heavily-tinted construction paper!
(Though may be the only time in the first 200 pages of artgumshoe where said watercolors + construction paper will appear).
